Tomorrow Bike and Build North Carolina to California begins. It's possible the my veins are pumped completely full of adrenaline. Sleep is next to impossible. Which is a good thing because I have completed about 5.6 % of my packing. And you guessed it... that 5.6% consists mostly of taking pictures of my bike for this blog update!
Tonight I enjoyed a lovely dinner with my family. As I sat there, eating my boca burger, I remembered how truely hilarious my family is. My mom's memory of her childhood is uncanny. I love those stories. I also look forward to a care package from my family. One filled with veggies things I really dislike. Thanks family.
The real purpose of this update other than showing off Candy my wonderful bike, is to thank all my friends. Everyone who has called/emailed/texted/shared conversation over the past two days to wish me luck on this Bike and Build adventure...you are also awesome. My family thanks you to, because it gave me a chance to share excitement. Otherwise I'd surely be running around the house screaming and shooting nerf guns. Like I did three days ago.
Well its time to pack. Cya tomorrow BIKE AND BUILD!

Man I still can't believe that you are biking across the country. This is truly Epic, and your bike is freaking awesome!! I'm in love<3 Your journey makes me think of the Oregon Trail except you are going to be flying compared to ther lumbering wagons (2 wheels are always better than 4:) Speaking of which, I rode down south main past the post office today and think i just got my first true whiff of the addiction which has gotten you to the point you are at now. Good luck on your trip my fellow junkie :-D
Hey rip, update your blog. what do you want in your care packages besides roccoli and spinach and asparagus. No seriously, we'll send you some. CALL HOME your mom misses you. I love you be careful and i promise to try your bike.
After looking at your bike - what you really need is a BIGGER SEAT ! Along with a little trailer to pull all the prep H, a case or two of acetaminophen, and some Bud or Bud Light to ease the hemmies just a tad. Forget the roccoli, spinach and asparagus - that'll turn your new seat green..
Have a great trip - Ride Safe - and enjoy this wonderful opportunity....
